This said, the technique is far from brilliant, but conceptually there's some clever thinking at work here. Credit is due to the artist for producing an image that simultaneously reminded me of a twenty year-old revulsion that turned me to goth-punk at the time. They even managed to include the pseudo-deco lettering and streetscape to style. In garish pastel blue and pink, there is a woman in a bikini, undercover cops with guns, smiling gangsters, flash cars, pills and cash, and the ever-present palm tree. The cover art manages to include all the genre conventions in one, which was also true of the pastiche and pastels of the 80s. "Miami Nights" is a 90pp supplement for "Vice Squad: 80s Police Adventures" emulating the 1980s cop shows.
